Keeper of Secrets by Andy Tucker

Keeper of Secrets is an original 38 x 15 inch clay sculpture by Canadian artist Andy Tucker, created using clay, natural salvaged materials, moss, and bone. This imaginative sculptural character takes the form of a whimsical shrunken head with a sewn-shut mouth and one sewn-shut eye.

The character's playful concept is simple: you can tell the Keeper of Secrets anything because he won't share your secret and will keep one blind eye turned toward you. Created spontaneously as an imaginative character, the artwork was not intended to represent or imitate any specific culture.

The sculpture features unusual natural materials, including hair made from moss collected from a pine beetle-affected tree. As the tree died, the moss dried into a distinctive string-like material, giving the character its unusual and organic appearance.

This original Canadian sculpture is available for purchase and is a striking choice for collectors looking for contemporary sculpture, clay artwork, mixed media sculpture, salvaged material art, natural material artwork, unusual home décor, and one-of-a-kind Canadian art.
