Reclined by Josh Henrie

“Reclined” by Josh Henrie is an expressive female figure study built around simplicity, colour, and the quiet presence of the artist’s muse. The arched pose creates a graceful sense of movement, while a restrained palette of soft blues and warm yellows gives the artwork a calm, contemporary character.

The piece captures the relationship between artist and muse—the subject becoming part of the creative moment rather than simply being observed. Henrie uses the relaxed, reclined pose and simplified colour palette to focus attention on the natural form, gesture, and atmosphere of the scene.

A distinctive addition to a collection of female figure art, contemporary figurative artwork, figure studies, modern art, and expressive human-form drawings or paintings. “Reclined” offers a subtle, elegant way to bring figurative art and artistic expression into a home, studio, or personal collection.
