Bi Gals Being Pals by Lisbeth Fazzari

“Bi Gals Being Pals” by Lisbeth Fazzari is a vibrant contemporary portrait painting featuring Frida Kahlo and Josephine Baker from the hips up. Painted in acrylic with gold leaf, the artwork brings together two iconic female figures in a composition that feels both powerful and gentle.

Josephine Baker leans affectionately from Frida’s shoulder, creating a playful moment of connection between the two figures. Behind them, blue and purple flowers add depth, colour, and a sense of softness to the composition, while the gold leaf introduces luminous accents that draw attention to the figures.

The contrast between the confident presence of the subjects and the tenderness of their interaction gives the piece its distinctive character. “Bi Gals Being Pals” celebrates friendship, femininity, individuality, and the strength found in connection.

A striking choice for collectors of Frida Kahlo art, Josephine Baker art, contemporary portrait painting, feminist art, acrylic paintings, gold leaf artwork, floral art, and unique original artwork.
