Murder on the Lake by Travis Clarke

Explore a mysterious fantasy world with Murder on the Lake, a dark digital artwork by Canadian artist Travis Clarke. Created for a water-themed exhibition at the O'Connor Art Gallery in Chilliwack, this piece expands Travis's fantasy world through a narrative-driven scene featuring a deer woman relaxing in a lake who discovers an unwanted voyeur nearby, resulting in murder.

Using a moody palette of deep purples and blues, the artwork creates an atmospheric setting filled with tension and mystery. Rather than focusing solely on the character, Travis developed a story around the scene, inviting viewers to consider what has happened and what might come next.

The result is a piece of fantasy storytelling that blends supernatural characters, dark atmosphere, and the quiet setting of a lake into an intriguing visual narrative.
